FAQs
What is the 50 Shades of Black Anime Convention?
The 50 Shades of Black Anime Convention is a multicultural anime and pop-culture event that celebrates diversity, creativity, and community within anime, gaming, cosplay, music, and digital arts. The convention brings fans, artists, creators, gamers, and industry professionals together for panels, workshops, live entertainment, gaming tournaments, vendor marketplaces, cosplay showcases, and networking opportunities.
Our mission is to create an inclusive, welcoming space that highlights underrepresented voices, supports artists and entrepreneurs, and fosters cultural connection while celebrating the global impact of anime and fandom culture. It’s a place where creativity, culture, and community come together for an unforgettable experience.
When and where will the convention take place?
The first convention will be held from June 17th- June 20th 2027 in College Park, GA at the Georgia International Convention Center.
Is the 50 Shades of Black Anime Convention only for Black people?
No. The 50 Shades of Black Anime Convention welcomes everyone who loves anime, gaming, cosplay, art, Black Culture, and The Black Community. While the event celebrates and highlights Black creators, fans, and perspectives within anime and fandom spaces, it is inclusive of all races, backgrounds, identities, and experience levels. Our goal is to create a fun, safe, and uplifting environment where people from all walks of life can come together to enjoy what they love most.
We believe representation matters, but so does community, and everyone is invited to be part of that.
